The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution<\/a><\/span> (NSDAR or DAR) was founded on October 11, 1890.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each member of the Kikthawenund Chapter, NSDAR, is a direct descendant of an American Revolutionary War Patriot. Our chapter is named after Chief Kikthawenund, leader of the Delaware Indians, who often went by the Anglo nickname, Chief Anderson.<\/span><\/p>\n

The women in our chapter are comprised of all ages and walks of life. Our non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service group is involved in community projects for both students and veterans.\u00a0 Under the leadership of our current regent, we are serving our community daily. We are one of more than 80 chapters of the Indiana Society, DAR<\/a><\/span>. Many members have joined DAR since it was founded and there are chapters across the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n
